The International Host/ess is a communication specialist, socializes with guests, provides personalized customer service, language assistance and translation to the guests, enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of their cruise;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction by answering inquiries, offering suggestions and being proactive if a problem occurs to guests. Socialize, welcome guests, contribute to social events and functions taking place throughout the ship

• Conduct Travel talks on the various destination of the Cruise, in the languages best known to the incumbent for the enrichment and information of Guests.

• Prepare and deliver a comprehensive talk for Guests in all required languages

• Cooperate with the Program Publisher in the translation and check of the Daily Program & Daily Specials, each one for the language of competence.

• Act as a Master of Ceremonies during special events and evening shows for the language group of reference.

• Participate and socialise during major Theme evenings and guest activities.

• Perform as broadcaster, making public address announcements in all languages known.

• Act as an escort on shore Excursions, carrying out the same duties performed by Cruise Staff in function.

Požiadavky

High School Graduated

·         Ability to communicate fluently in written and oral English plus two other languages

·         Proven and documented experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, in a customer service working environment, at sea or ashore.

·         Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and ability to navigate within a variety of desktop publishing software packages

·         Ability to establish trustful relationship , to be problem solving oriented

·         Self Confidence, Adaptability- flexibility, Ability to speak in public, Team Player

·         To be Guest Service and Revenue Oriented

·         STCW95 certification is compulsory (Basic fire fighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, personal security and social responsibility)

·         A recognized medical certification is required before starting to work on board.

Qualification required: Proven and documented experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, in a customer service working environment, at sea or ashore.

Languages: Fluent English, oral and written and 2 additional European languages are required
