Our client, a successful audit and advisory firm with a local and international portfolio of clients, are currently looking to recruit an Information Security Officer that will be working directly with clients carrying out IT audits at their premises and on their infrastructure.
Information Security Officer

In this role, you will be the technical point of reference and interface with clients during IT security audits, and be involved in the implementation, maintenance, support and design of the infrastructure and the internet security systems to external operations and also within the organisation, to ensure the security and protection of its information assets.
Responsibilities
- Review all information systems and identify weak points
- Continuous monitoring and analysing of security alerts, audit logs and reports
- Ensuring compliance with both internal and external customer Information Security Standards and policies.
- Formulate security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines across networks and environments
- Participates in the risk management lifecycle
- Regulate security audits and keeps security documentation up to date
- Perform regular penetration tests
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in Information Security Design and Management.
- A degree or relevant qualifications in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Specialized IT/security certifications such as CISA, Security+, CEH, ISO/IEC 27001 and CISSP will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft, CISCO and Linux technologies
The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, good client relationship management skills, have strong problem-solving skills and a good overall knowledge in application development. You must hold an inquisitive mind-set, be meticulous, methodical and accurate in the completion of tasks.
