This is a unique opportunity to work in London in a local authority/learning trust, in a virtual school. You will:
You will liaise with schools and advocate for children and young people, working creatively to support children and young people in their education.
You will have a degree in social pedagogy, extensive practice experience working with children and young people in care, experience in education and a sound knowledge of the UK education system and issues faced by children and young people in care. Ideally you will have experience of supervising and/or mentoring staff. You will need a working knowledge of legislation, statutory frameworks and codes of practice relevant to the work.
Reporting and management of expenditure for your area are also required. Good skills in the use of information management systems are needed. You should have excellent organisational skills, effective communication skills and the ability to manage competing and complex demands. There is scope for creativity and innovation.
