Flannery's Hotel Galway are seeking a Receptionist to join their team.

The successful person will possess the following skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Numerical abilities.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to use own initiative.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions.
  • Self motivated.
  • Good attention for detail.

The Ideal candidate will have previous hotel experience but this is not essential as full training will be given.

Your main role will generally consist of:

  • Meeting and greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Checking guests in and out efficiently using the HotSoft reservation system.
  • Answering the switchboard and telephone in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Transferring calls to the correct extensions.
  • Dealing with requests, queries and suggestions and resolving guest complaints, quickly and efficiently.
  • Taking reservations correctly and noting any special requests.
  • Promoting and selling the Hotel’s facilities at all times.
  • Ensuring billing is correctly carried out to the hotel standards.
  • Adhering to all hotel policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security etc.
  • Other duties as required.

This role will include shift work.
