Head Pastry Chef

The Four Star Bloomfield House Hotel, Located 5 minutes from Mullingar town, is currently recruiting for an experienced Head Pastry Chef . 

As Head Pastry Chef at Bloomfield House Hotel you will need to work as part of the kitchen team; communicate openly and effectively; and take pride in every aspect of what you produce to ensure the delivery of a high quality guest experience. 

The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years experience with good background in similar hotel or restaurant. Assistant pastry chef already in place and the successful candidate must be able to contribute to new menu's and different styles of modern pastry.

Job Description 

The Position: 

• To work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of this section ensuring the standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained
• To ensure all recipes are for the pastry and bakery are standardised and communicated to Pastry personnel
• To ensure that the bakery produces all items to the required standard
• To ensure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications
• To promote a positive working atmosphere at all times
• Must be able to work well on their own initiative and to work in a team environment

Experience/Qualifications 

• Will have previous experience as a Pastry Chef
• To participate in training provided by the company
• Excellent Knowledge of HACCP
• Will possess excellent communication and organisational skills
• Will have fluency in English, both oral and written
• Will be flexible in their working hours
