We enable safe, reliable and enhanced performance in projects and operations. We provide consistent, integrated services within technical and marine assurance and advisory, risk management advisory and offshore classification. Together with our partners, we drive the industry forwards by developing best practices and standards. As Group Leader you will be leading and developing our group responsible for review and verification of various safety and risk studies related to safety on offshore oil and gas installations. This work is by nature multi-disciplinary with significant interaction to our discipline groups addressing the various systems and equipment that ensures the safety and integrity of the offshore installations. We are looking for a candidate with a strong ability to handle detailed issues across many disciplines and who demonstrates an ambition to develop leadership skills and aspires to grow into leadership roles and positions in DNV GL. The management duties related to this position are estimated to be approximately 30% of the working time. The remaining time will be chargeable, i.e. project work related to the group, section and the department. Main duties and responsibilities: •Lead the group on a daily basis •Manage individual performance incl. goal-setting, coaching, dialogue and evaluation •Develop the group including recruitment and training •Ensure that the group possesses the required knowledge and competence necessary to undertake the agreed assignments •Ensure that clients receive the agreed service and quality •Support Head of Section in resource allocation, organisational issues, recruitment processes etc. •HSE and quality issues •Project management of verification projects •Participate in surveys on offshore installations •Participate in client meetings •Lead/perform review of safety studies, e.g.: •Safety strategies and philosophies •Evacuation, escape and rescue analysis •Fire and explosion strategies •Gas and smoke dispersion studies •Explosion analysis •Design accidental loads reports •QRA’s •Safety Cases •Bow-tie analysis •Identification of major hazards •Safety/environmental critical elements and performance standards Position Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with a relevant engineering degree on M.Sc./B.Sc. level, who is able to document experience with several of the below areas: •Topside facilities, general safety layout, overall safety aspects and evaluations •Risk analysis methods and the premises of risk management •Management of major accident hazards, safety barriers and associated performance standards •HAZID and HAZOP •Fire & Explosion Strategies and Analysis (FES/FEA) •Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) •CFD modelling for ventilation and fire and explosion studies •Evacuation, Escape and Rescue Strategies and Analysis (EERS/EERA) •Process and utility systems/equipment safety •Emergency shutdown systems •Active and passive fire protection You are used to work with national and international standards and European directives, e.g. EN, ISO, API, NORSOK, PED etc., and preferably also Danish legislation (e.g. Danish Offshore Safety Act and underlying executive orders).
