Copenhagen Local / International Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering Ref.: MO-058050 Maersk Oil is looking for a discipline Head of Reservoir Engineering for the Corporate Global Production Development Department (GCPD) at the head office in Copenhagen. CPD GPD is a global resource supporting Maersk Oil’s business units in maturing discoveries for development. Currently operated and producing assets are located in the North Sea, Qatar, and Kazakhstan We Offer The Head of Reservoir Engineering will be a key driving force in developing and maintaining reservoir engineering capabilities and deliverables of technically high international standard within all projects in GPD. This is to be achieved through focus on advanced technical solutions and efficient collaboration and work processes. A key part of the Head of Reservoir Engineering job is to stimulate and support effective organizational (team) learning through the development of an empowered, open and trusting working environment. Key Responsibilities The Head of Reservoir Engineering is responsible for: •Ensuring an effective Reservoir Engineering capability for GPD through recruitment, allocation and development of the GPD Reservoir Engineering staff. •Working with the project leads and GPD Head of Geoscience to ensure and participate in integrated initiation and assurance of projects •Supporting development of appropriate workflows, ways of working and selection of the correct technology/software •Working with the discipline heads and subsurface leaders networks to support Maersk Oil’s global subsurface capability through internal staff moves and discipline initiatives •Reviewing technical staff development plans and discipline objectives Who we are looking for Successful candidates will be working with an experienced, highly professional and demanding team and must therefore have the following qualifications: •More than 12 years experience in upstream E&P in multidisciplinary environments. •Strong background in classical reservoir engineering, various recovery mechanisms including EOR and reservoir modelling •Significant integrated Field Development Planning experience preferably within both onshore and offshore environments, with clastic and carbonate formations and in both oil and gas based hydrocarbon systems. •Good awareness of the role of subsurface risks and uncertainties and how to express those within field development planning. •Good general understanding of Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Production Technology and Facilities disciplines. •Experience with Project Maturation Processes. •Excellent people skills •Past experience with both technical and people leadership and ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
