Key role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a dynamic and exciting role, which requires strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in leading the day to day management of the finance team.

Specific responsibilities

  • Operational management and developing the finance team
  • Management of delivery of consolidated monthly and quarterly management accounts - full suite of management account information and reports in a timely manner post month end
  • Assist with the implementation of new technologies and build infrastructure to scale efficiently within the department
  • Maintain financial and other controls and improve control environment
  • Manage relationship with external accountants and insurance providers
  • Manage cashflow reporting, capex reporting, working capital management
  • Balance sheet reconciliation creation of monthly Balance Sheet schedules
  • Profit and loss analysis and journal entry reviews on a monthly basis
  • Developing and managing key KPIs within the department
  • Oversight and management of AP, AR and Client Fund functions
  • Management of the delivery of Budgeting and forecasting
  • Statutory accounts preparation and compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and corporate responsibilities
  • Managing internal and external audit

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

  • Highly motivated ambitious qualified accountant with 3-4 years’ experience
  • Highly commercial with multinational experience is an advantage
  • Experience with SUN and SAP desirable
  • Ambitious and energetic, with the highest degree of integrity
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and an ability to bring out the best performance in people
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, develop timelines and set goals
  • Continually seeks to improve work processes and find ideas for more effective working
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Results orientated
  • Proven track record in meeting deadlines
  • Experience introducing process improvements
  • Excellent technical abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
  • Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong IT and Excel experience
  • Proven Financial Controller experience, track record and ability to lead and control a finance team.
