WE ARE SEARCHING FOR A NEW EXPERT TO JOIN OUR TEAM
The Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO) is a private non-profit higher education institution in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, and the only institution in South East Europe that offers holistic study programs in the field of polymer technology. In collaboration with companies from polymer industry and renowned academic institutions, our team develops ideas and solutions for demanding applications and performs research regarding materials, processing and characterization. Strong in research and teaching, we provide a vibrant scientific environment and actively promote the potential of our scientists.
Expert in the field of Polymer Processing
MAIN DUTIES:
• Internationally competitive research in the field polymer processing, preferably with focus on several of the following research areas: Biopolymers, Composites, Recycling, High Performance Polymers, Fillers and Reinforcements, Materials for 3D printing.
• Participation in interdisciplinary research activities with partners from industry and other academic institutions.
• Communication of research results to scientific community & to industrial partners (e.g. papers in scientific journals, conference proceedings).
• Depending on mutual agreement, possible also taking over teaching obligations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Master or PhD Degree in technical or natural sciences.
• Profound knowledge in the field of polymer processing.
• Personal initiative, skills for self-organization and teamwork, effective communication skills with the ability to interface with partner companies and other researchers.
• Didactic and presentation skills, willingness to participate in the development of innovative teaching concepts.
• Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset.
• Experience in the procurement of competitive third-party funding will be appreciated.
• Readiness to move to Slovenj Gradec or its vicinity.
• Active participation in our continuous improvement program.
