(Embedded) Software Engineer - (Belgium or Switzerland)

Your future job

As a Software Developer at Melexis, you will create architecture, develop software and related documentation for internal projects acquired or supported by the Functional Safety, Reliability & Development Systems Competence Center. You contribute to the achievement of the projects’ targets in terms of product specification, cost, quality and timing.

More specifically, you will

• Create architecture, design and develop software products within the scope of the internal projects related to tool development;
• plan and execute the software development within the agreed product specifications and product planning in order to ensure that agreed objectives are met in due time and at the required quality level within budget;
• ensure that a technical interface with internal customers from our Development department is provided in order to optimize the customer relationship;
• exchange knowledge across the sites and maximize the standardization of software components, platforms, methods and tools in order to reduce the time-to-market and increase the product quality.

Your profile

• You possess a master’s degree in Engineering Software, Computer Sciences or equivalent, and have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• You have solid knowledge of programming languages (Python, C#, C++, JS, php), linux and linux applications.
• Thorough knowledge of common structured interfaces and continuous integration tool, is preferred.
• You have an analytical mindset and are eager to learn.
• You are willing to travel up to 10%.
• You are fluent in English.
