Would you like to ensure quality, efficiency and continued development within wind power in Denmark and abroad? Join us as soon as possible and become our new Electrical Engineer with responsibility for utility systems and concepts and maybe Team Lead in the department Substations Electrical Management. Together with 18 committed colleagues, you will manage and design the utility systems and concepts for onshore and offshore substations. You will be technical engineer specifying and designing LV and utility installations, such as switchboards, diesel generator sets, UPS systems and DC systems as well as safety and mechanical installations. You work with cable lists, cable ways for LV/MV/HV systems and SCADA systems. Substation Electrical Management is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling to our sites in Denmark and abroad in connection with your work. Areas of responsibility As Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of our committed team of utility system and concept engineers working with electrical and mechanical installations on our substations, where you will coordinate tasks between projects participants and suppliers within the electrical and utility field. In addition, you will support the electrical scope in connection with engineering, fabrication, construction and civil contractors for our offshore and onshore substations. You will also support the design of mechanical, communications and safety systems. Furthermore, you will follow up on projects and prepare tender documents. In cooperation with external advisers and in-house cross-organisational stakeholders, you and your colleagues will also be responsible for follow up on quality and deliveries during fabrication and construction of substations. You will also participate in project team meetings and cross-discipline cooperation, support supervision and commissioning activities as well as handover to O&M. Furthermore, your key duties will include to: be responsible for the electrical design and LV layout within the substation scope, including the third party certification of the electrical, utility and mechanical systems be the frontrunner in developing technical solutions within LV and utility installations for onshore and offshore substations together with your colleagues participate in and supervise SAT and FAT tests of main LV and utility components at the suppliers' sites be responsible for input and collection of technical requirements for our engineering, fabrication and construction contractors participate in development tasks and lessons learnt sessions within the electrical and utility field. If you are the right candidate, you will have the opportunity to become Team Lead for a group of six to seven employees. As Team Lead, you will delegate tasks, motivate employees and create structure in our deliveries. Your profile You hold an education as a Bachelor or a Master of Science in Engineering specialised within the electrical power field, such as LV installations, knowledge of MV, HV installations and SCADA, and you have experience in working with utility installations on both offshore and onshore substations. It will be important that you knowledge of the electrical field and excellent communication skills to ensure a professional relationship with your stakeholders. As Team Lead you can motivate, delegate and work very structured. Furthermore, it will be important that you know how to inspire and lead your team to ensure that you achieve the department’s ambitious results and defined strategic targets. It is important that you have an extrovert personality and thrive on teamwork as you will solve the majority of your tasks in close cooperation with external business partners and colleagues across professional groups. You will have personal drive and a dedicated and responsible approach to your work. Furthermore, you will enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues in the project group and in your department.
