Job ID: 228293 Location: Vejle Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – http://www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: full time The Offshore Electrical Engineering team plays the key role in relation to the electrical package all the way from project acquisition to final hand over to our customers. We master the details and at the same time we bridge tomorrow’s technologies and methodologies. Our portfolio of significant, technically complex offshore wind farms is increasing worldwide. The grid connection plays an important role and we are looking for an experienced and committed Electrical Engineer to strengthen our team in the Offshore Electrical Engineering department. What are my responsibilities? As an Electrical Engineer you will be a main technical interface in relation to offshore projects during the project execution phases and you will be responsible for specific engineering tasks in the project team. You will also take part in the development of tomorrow’s grid connection technology and methodology. More specifically, your assignments will cover: Provide specialized technical support on WTG dynamic and transient models Grid Code analysis Wind Power Plant modeling and power system studies Trouble shooting on grid related issues Technical support to project and sales teams in the contract negotiation and execution phases What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a strong technical background and minimum a Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering, preferably combined with 3+ years of experience from the wind turbine business or from the consultancy, grid developer or grid operator industries. You are experienced in performing large scale power system studies with simulation tools like PSCAD, PowerFactory or NETOMAC. As a person, you are self-driven, analytical and able to create and maintain an overview of complex tasks. At the same time, you are good at networking and you possess excellent communication skills in English. And most of all, you love the fun and challenges by building some of the largest wind farms in the world.
