Introduction
Within the Sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification and design of the products. The department Mechanical Development is charged with designing, building and testing the mechanical systems and sub-systems which are fitted into the end products. The group Opto-Mechanics Measurement Functions (OMMF) is specialized in precision engineered parts for the optical measurement systems in the machines.
 
Job Mission
To contribute to the development of products by designing, creating and testing sub-systems within the restrictions imposed by system specifications, costs and planning considerations. Furthermore, you will: •Contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art, high-tech sensors / measurement systems. •Challenge to meet performance specifications, quality aspects, time considerations and cost. •Come in touch with every engineering process step.
 
Job Description
•Specifies and designs the precision engineered parts for optical measurement systems. •Is concerned with the application of precision mechanical construction principles . •Realizes the qualification of the design by contributing to the specification of various tests. •Designs and realizes test equipment and appliances and is responsible for ensuring that prototypes are built and tests are carried out. •Is responsible for the technical product documentation.
 

Education
•BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mechanical engineering.
 
Experience
• As from 3-4 years industrial work experience. •Specialized knowledge of precision engineering, knowledge of adhesion technology, static load design and high precision alignment.
 
Personal skills
•Well-developed analytical ability and a pragmatic attitude. •Work together in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic environment.
 
Context of the position
The holder of this position reports to the Group Leader Opto-Mechanics Measurement Functions and works in multi-disciplinary project groups.
