We are looking for a new engaged colleague to take up the position as Department Assistant of Supplier Management and Finished Products in Strategic Sourcing. The ideal candidate is structured and has excellent coordination and communication skills. The candidate must thrive in an international environment where no two days are alike.

About the department
Strategic Sourcing is located in Bagsværd, Denmark. Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the sourcing of incoming supply to the production in Novo Nordisk. There are 4 departments and 2 support functions in Strategic Sourcing. The departments are: Devices & Needles, Raw Materials & Energy, Finished Products and Supplier Management, whereas Negotiation and Contract Management and Business Support are cross departmental support functions. In our daily work, the departments and support functions work closely together. The many relations between Strategic Sourcing and external suppliers as well as internal partners in Novo Nordisk make our daily work filled with new and exciting challenges.

The job
As the Department Assistant in Supplier Management and Finished Products, you will be reporting to the Director of these departments. You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of administrative tasks for the departments as a whole and for the coordination of particular tasks. You are expected to provide fast and reliable support and administrative assistance to the department manager and to the departments in general. The key tasks being: Assistance to the department director, specific business process support tasks, and administrative support to the departments. Other tasks include meeting planning, travel arrangements, taking minutes of meeting, and follow up on actions, performance board management, etc.

You have experience from a similar role and have solid skills in driving administrative processes, handling and organising tasks at management level, and in manoeuvring in IT systems. You demonstrate profound business understanding and you thrive in an international environment where excellent stakeholder management is a key requirement. You proactively take action and ownership for tasks and welcome new responsibilities. You are structured and pay attention to details while keeping the greater overview. As a person, you are positive, engaged and take pride in delivering high quality results. You enjoy working independently as well as with others. As you will work in an international organisation with many internal and external stakeholders your ability to communicate clearly and to collaborate with others is a must. You will need to be fluent in English both in speaking and writing.
