Data scientist represents an evolution from the business or data analyst role. The formal training is similar, with a solid foundation typically in computer science and applications, modeling, statistics, analytics and math. What sets the data scientist apart is strong business acumen, coupled with the ability to communicate findings to business in a way that can influence how an organization approaches a business challenge. Good data scientists will not just address business problems, they will pick the right problems that have the most value to the organization

What you’ll be doing:

You will advocate, evangelize and build data-fuelled solutions that help Logitech Supply Chain improve. You’ll dig in and become an expert on our Supply Chain datasets. You will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverables.

You will work with Supply Chain team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas. You will lead applied analytics initiatives that are leveraged across the breadth of our solutions for Supply Chain. You will research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.

As our data scientist, you will provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the entire breadth of our organization.

Skills and Qualities we are looking for:

  • A Team player

  • Analytical and mathematical

  • A graduate or master degree in one of the following majors:

    • Mathematics, or Operations Research, or Computer Science with Data Science/ Machine Learning/artificial intelligence major

    • Must have completed at least a major in statistics

  • machine learning algorithms, random forest, support vector machine, multi-variate regression, data mining

  • R (required) Phyton (optional)

  • Fluency in the following R packages desired:

    • Dplyr, RShiny, RandomForest, Caret

  • Fluency in the following skills are added bonus:

    • mathematical programming (LP, MIP), 

    • artificial neural networks,
