Job Description:
The BI and Data Consultant leads the design, implementation, adoption, and use of business intelligence / data technology processes and solutions. Furthermore, the consultant fosters culture of data-driven decision making across teams, functions, and organisations. As a consultant, you will engage different stakeholders across the business, prompting you to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership. The successful candidate will be involved in setting up and owning the operational capabilities of Business Intelligence and other data related tools, to provide the best possible service to our clients.
As a BI and Data Consultant, you will take part in the business development of Brightive and support the management of organisational transformation projects by:
Role specific requirements (have at least one year of professional experience in the following):
- Combining, modelling, and transforming data to support data-driven decisions;
- Creating insightful data visualisations on various BI software;
- Creating visual project status reports/dashboards;
- Implementing and integrating comprehensive business intelligence solutions to clients;
- Delivering training on the use of BI solutions.
Role specific technical requirements:
- Experience with Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or related) is a must;
- Advanced use of Excel is a must;
- Experience with SQL or MS Access is considered an advantage;
- Experience with R, Python or related is considered a plus.
General requirements:
- Educational background in computer science, information systems, business administration, management, economics, or other related field is strongly desirable;
- International experience or education, and the ability to travel and work in the EU are a must;
- Comfortable with the idea that international travel can be required for up to 50% of the year;
- Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization;
- Ability to interact with and influence department/project team members;
- Analytical and systematic approach to problem definition and solving;
- Ability to absorb and apply technical information, and to work to required standards;
- Ability to work closely with different business functions and understand their priorities;
- Fluent in written and spoken Business English, any other foreign language is a plus;
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships;
- Good knowledge with practical experience in applying business analysis methods and tools;
- Good knowledge with practical experiences in applying project management methodologies .
