Job Title: Customer Master Data Maintenance (OTC)

Reports to: Team Lead Cash Allocation, Customer MDM

 

Position Summary: 

The Customer Master Data Specialist position supports the Customer Care Department and the Global Process Owner with day to day activities to drive quality customer master data. The MDM Specialist is expected to work closely with the Business Process Experts in order to ensure data quality, compliance, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Creates and modifies customer master data to data standards.
  • Researches, appends, and removes duplicate customer record.
  • Conducts master data audits on existing and newly set up customers.
  • Works with the Global Process Owner and business areas to improve master data processes.
  • Assists with writing documentation as needed for customer master training, policies, standards, controls as well as procedures, and trains accordingly.
  • Works with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues.
  • Ensures data quality, compliance and consistency of master data across business systems.
  • Leverages SAP and other source systems to maintain quality customer data.
  • Does other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.

Skills Required:

  • This position interacts with various levels of personnel both inside and outside the company. That interaction requires good communication skills and judgment, tact and diplomacy with internal and external customers in troubleshooting problems and communicating status.
  • Effectiveness in this role requires a thorough working knowledge of relevant accounting systems, policies and procedures.
  • Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.  Initiative and organization skills are valuable to ensure the timely completion of a large volume of work. System knowledge is essential to perform this role effectively and efficiently.
  • A commitment to customer service is essential and a strong sense of urgency, but should not compromise accuracy for expediency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Fresh graduate.
  • Must demonstrate excellent computer skills; relevant software application proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Experience in SAP is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and French.
