Cowper Care is inviting applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist – Dementia.
To lead and provide person centred care to our residents, particularly those who have dementia that is both efficient and effective, ensuring the delivery of an excellent standard of care, which promotes independence and dignity and positively enhances the lives of individuals in our care.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a registered nurse on the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI.
- Must have (within the last 6 years) a minimum 5 years’ post registration nursing experience, with relevant experience in the specialist area.
- Must have nursing experience to include experience in a nursing management post or posts in an acute hospital / relevant healthcare setting.
- Must have a Post Graduate (Level 9) clinical qualification in Dementia and should have a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent or be prepared to acquire same within a defined time frame.
- Experience of working in a JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited facility and an understanding of that process would be an advantage
