Hilton Malta is seeking to recruit Chefs Tournant.

A Chef Tournant is responsible for leading a section or outlet,

What will I be doing?

As a Chef Tournant, you are responsible for;

• Leading and training the team
• Assisting Junior sous chefs and sous chef on the daily operation of the business
• Ensuring all food preparation meets standards & HACCP regulations
• Complying with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
• Requisitioning food needed for preparation of all meals
• Ensuring mis-en place meets business needs through the effective management of production
• Supporting brand standards through the guidance of the senior team
• Managing food cost controls to contribute to the targets established by the management r
• Managing kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organised and motivated team
• Knowledge of activities in other departments

What are we looking for?

A Chef Tournant will need to have: the following;

• Previous Experience in a similar role
• Approaches food in a creative way
• ITS graduate
• Previous experience in a fine dinning restaurant,Michelin/rosetteor 5 star hotel
• Previous experience as a Chef de partie (minimum 3 years) or as a tournant 1 year.
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent grooming standards
• Excellent planning and organising skills
• Strong supervisory skills
• Knowledge of culinary trends ,innovative and creative
• Relevant qualifications for role
