Chef de Partie - The Gibson Hotel

the gibson hotel are currently recruiting Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen team.

Purpose of job: To ensure the day to day operations are carried out in line with department and hotel standards, providing quality ervice to guests  and following instructions given 

Main Duties:

  • To assist the head chef and sous chef to deliver agreed standards of food for the hotel kitchen
  • Maintain and monitor the H.A.A.C.P system set in place
  • Ensure that all dishes leave the kitchen in timely manner and to approved standards
  • To assist with the running of overall kitchen and the associated areas and keep the high standards expected
  • Follow TDS sheets for all dishes on menus and to produce them
  • Monitor stock rotation, checks deliveries and returns
  • Ensure staff meals are to a high standard
  • Act in a professional manner and report any issue to senior member of staff
  • Be involved in the setting up of menus for restaurant and other area
  • Ensure the best quality dishes are produced in the hotel kitchen
  • Ensure that the hotel waste management system is followed
  • Show leadership skills and progression within department

Other duties

  • To adhere to Safe Driving policy for the hotel if required to travel for work
  • To promote energy efficiency to support the hotel green policy
  • To ensure that waste management is promoted in the hotel
  • To use the Time Management system in line with company procedure
  • To come up with new ideas/initiatives to enhance the guest experience
  • To comply with the hotel’s cash handling procedures
  • Have fun and enjoy your work!

Standards:  

  • To carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual
  • To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language and conduct is maintained at all times
  • To provide support where necessary in other areas of the Hotel
  • To give full cooperation to any colleague or guest requiring assistance in a prompt caring, helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the Hotel in response to business and guest needs

Ideal Candidate will have: 

  • 1-2 years experience as a chef 
  • Ambtious individual with passion for food and would like to progress and develop in the future.
