The Hodson Bay Group is recruiting for Chef de Partie for the following Hotels:

Sheraton Athlone Hotel

Hodson Bay Hotel

Galway Bay Hotel

Hyatt Centric Dublin (From September 2019). 

Each of the Hotels are inviting applications from experienced Chef de Partie - It is a mid-senior role in a busy but organised and well-functioning kitchen and we are looking an individual who consistently demonstrates a passion for the preparation and presentation of excellent food. 

The candidates will possess qualities in keeping with the company core values: Excellence, Passion, Honesty, Loyalty & Fun! 

Responsibilities: 

Contribute to the production of food items according to menu specifications 

Be aware of and prepared for the business in house every day 

Be familiar with the menu and with any "specials" of the day. 

Ensure all dishes are prepared to agreed standards 

Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared and presented to agreed standards. 

Avoid unnecessary wastage and follow portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner. 

Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service. 

Follow and adhere to HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets. 

Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order; report any maintenance issues to your supervisor

Manage stock control and place orders. 

Lead and support team members to ensure the kitchen always exceeds guest expectations by consistently producing quality food. 

 

Requirements

Previous experience in a Hotel Kitchen

2-3 years experience at Commis or Chef de Partie level 

Willingness to work within a team environment whilst using your initiative 

Good level of both written and spoken English 

Good ability to handle pressurized situations and busy periods 

Flexible, innovative and adaptable
