We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer, who is interested in working with high-performing web applications including search engines and cloud infrastructure.
You will be part of a strong development team working from either our headquarters in Odense, Denmark, or our satellite office in Copenhagen
We are in a period of rapid growth and have many exciting and technically challenging projects in the pipeline. The platform you help develop will create a fantastic user experience and convert new visitors into paying customers.
Job functions
You will be involved in creating new and innovative solutions and improving existing solutions and services. You will work closely with the backend and front-end development teams to create new customer features and integrate new technologies. You will be involved in challenging projects from conceptualization to launch and operation.
Cloud is in our DNA. We run all our services on AWS. We use open-source software such as NGINX, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and custom-built services written in PHP and Python. We love that we are born and raised with open-source software.
Your qualifications
You are open-minded, can spot potential, and you focus on what is possible. You are driven to improve existing code and are not afraid to pull large systems apart and put them back together. You are not afraid to apply your theoretical background to find new ways of solving problems. We know developers come in all shapes and sizes, but we expect you to at least match the following qualifications to apply:

A Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or similar

5+ years working as a software developer

Proven experience in refactoring large systems

Experience working with Linux
-
Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases

Experience working with APIs- defining and implementing
-
Proven development skills in PHP, Python, or similar languages

Experience with test-driven development is a plus
-
Experience with, or interest in, AWS/DevOps is a benefit but not a requirement

Excellent written and verbal English skills are required
