The Assistant Manager provides ongoing support to the General Manager to ensure that the restaurant meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Plan established for their individual unit. The Assistant Managers work as a team with training coordinators, and staff at the unit level. The Assistant Manager reports to the 1st Assistant Manager in the absence of the General Manager. Ongoing support and development are given from the General Manager, and various management duties will be delegated as necessary. Within that scope fall many key functions such as budgeting, staffing, training, community involvement, inventory control, labour control, etc., all of which you will be involved in the course of your duties. The Assistant Manager is fully responsible for the customers, staff, operations and cash on his/her shift, and will be held accountable to ensure company policy is met in each area.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assists in maintaining financial control, inventory management, maximizes sales and profit Potential
  • Coaches, counsels and works with General Manager to develop Training Co-Coordinators, and staff, leading to and maintain high sales and profits.
  • Assists the General Manager in community & civic involvement • Works with the General Manager to Investigate and respond directly to employee relations and customer complaints
  • Assist in co-ordination of in-store sales and promotions
  • Work closely with your Store Manager to deliver amazing service every day

 

Your Profile:

  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in the Catering/Hospitality/Quick Service Food industry is required
  • Demonstrate excellent people management skills
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and planning skills
  • Be passionate about Customer Service
  • Be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times especially when in the public eye
  • You must be 100% customer focused, innovative, motivating and energetic for this hands on role
  • Knowledge of Food safety is required (HACCP)
  • Flexibility is required
