Your future job

As an Applications Engineer at Melexis, you will ensure the relevant technical support to Melexis customers in the innovative world of automotive smart power and motor control solutions. Develop applications and solutions as well as all the necessary documentation and supporting tools for advanced mechatronic designs. 

More specifically, you will support the full path from the first demo to production at customer side, together with Melexis sales team, IC design teams, and field application engineers:

  • Make reference designs and demonstrators to support sales to customers
  • Develop Embedded SW and algorithms for motor control / mechatronics
  • Contribute to getting opportunities from qualified status to design win
  • Provide technical support to customers with the industrialization of the IC
  • Write product documentation and technical application notes
  • Collect current and future customer requirements to discuss with IC project manager
  • Provide technical training to Melexis sales force and customers
  • Identify the best-fitting Melexis product for customer application 

Your profile

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent level and 5+ years of relevant experience in hardware + software design, strong affinity with motor control systems
  • Experience with embedded software development for microcontrollers with limited resources
  • Advanced knowledge of C/C++, C#, Python, Assembler, VB
  • Advanced technical expertise acquired at the system/application level: hardware, software, tools, electronics, application testing and calibration
  • Strong skills in debugging 
  • Proven communication skills and successful customer support
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to provide support to customers worldwide
