Highfield Healthcare is a 313-bed private facility employing over 400 staff and currently run by the 6th Generation of the Eustace Family. Since its establishment in 1825, Highfield Healthcare continues to grow and advance and has earned itself a reputation of being one of Ireland's leading specialists in Dementia Care and old age Psychiatry providing the highest standard of care in a unique setting. Our state of the art Alzheimer’s Care Centre opened in 2012. It has 154 beds and 6 specialist Alzheimer’s Care units each providing person centred care to those with complex needs. In 2012, a 10-bed general adult Acute Psychiatric unit was opened specialising in psychiatric care to the over 18 age group. Due to the tremendous success of this unit we have now expanded our general adult Acute Psychiatric services to include a 12 patient Day Hospital. We continue to develop and expand in the area of Psychiatry with exciting plans for 2018 and beyond.
