About the organisation
Europe Direct è la rete europea di informazione al servizio dei cittadini, creata dalla Commissione europea per far conoscere le attività e le opportunità offerte dall'Unione europea.
L'obiettivo è di rafforzare nei cittadini il senso di appartenenza all'Unione coinvolgendoli nel processo di costruzione europea.
I Centri di Informazione Europe Direct sono presenti in tutto il territorio dell'Unione europea e hanno il ruolo di intermediari tra l'UE e i cittadini.
In Veneto il servizio è attivo dal 1998, costituito dal Comune di Venezia - come capofila - e da 27 partner istituzionali: la Regione Veneto, la Prefettura di Venezia, le Province di Belluno, Padova, Rovigo, Treviso e la Città metropolitana di Venezia, la Camera di Commercio di Venezia Rovigo Delta-Lagunare, l'Eurosportello di Unioncamere Veneto, EURES - Veneto Lavoro, i Comuni di Adria, Bassano del Grappa, Castelfranco Veneto, Chioggia, Jesolo, Spinea, Thiene, Treviso, Valdagno, Vicenza e la Federazione dei Comuni del Camposampierese, l'Università IUAV di Venezia, l'Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia, VIU - Venice International University, l'Università di Padova, l'ESU di Venezia e l'USR-Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto. Ad oggi conta 38 sportelli diffusi sul territorio regionale.

Europe Direct is the European information network at the service of citizens, created by the European Commission in order to inform the citizens about the activities and opportunities offered by the European Union.
The aim is to strengthen the citizens' sense of belonging to the Union by involving them in the process of European construction.
Europe Direct Information Centers are located throughout the European Union and act as intermediaries between the EU and its citizens.
In Veneto, the service has been created in 1998, and it is structured in the City of Venice - as leader - and 27 institutional partners: the Veneto Region, the Prefecture of Venice, the Provinces of Belluno, Padua, Rovigo, Treviso and the Metropolitan City of Venice, the Chamber of Commerce of Venice Rovigo Delta-Lagunare, the Eurosportello of Unioncamere Veneto, EURES - Veneto Lavoro, the Municipality of Adria, Bassano del Grappa, Castelfranco Veneto, Chioggia, Jesolo, Padua, Spinea, Thiene, Treviso, Valdagno, Vicenza and Camposampierese Municipalities Federation, the IUAV University of Venice, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, the ESU of Venice and the USR-Regional School Office for Veneto. Today, there are 38 information desks spread throughout the region.
