About the organisation
Distriktsveterinärerna (District Veterinarians) is a nationwide provider of veterinary care, whose purpose is to provide and ensure animal wellfare and food safety in Sweden. Distriktsveterinärerna is a public company, under the department of the Swedish Board of Agriculture (Jordbruksverket).
Our clinics are located in approximately 70 locations in Sweden, from Tomelilla in the south to Kiruna in the north. About 700 licensed veterinarians, registered veterinary nurses, and animal caretakers are working here. Our veterinarians are general practitioners but several of them also have specialist competence. Our organization gives you the opportunity to work together with competent colleagues and with several different animal species – with varied and interesting work days.
We provide an essential around-the-clock veterinary service to clients all over the country. With our unique knowledge of herd animal health we are contributing to animal health and safety, while working towards individuals, companies as well as authorities. We offer both emergency and preventive veterinary care and disease control. We champion an ethical veterinary care and we are committed to go the extra mile for our customers as well as our colleagues. Are you our next veterinarian or veterinary nurse? Are you prepared to join our team?
We are looking for both veterinarians and veterinary nurses to many of our 70 clinics in Sweden. We mainly work with mixed practices but we do have a few clinics where you as a veterinarian can choose to work with small or large animals. As a veterinarian nurse you can be part of the small animal practice and in a few places also the horse practice.
