Our client is a project minded organization which is, based on client specifications, involved in the entire process from design to installation of highly specialized oil and gas treatment systems; such as the separation of gas/liquid, gas drying, biogas plants and burner systems. Their client base includes almost all major oil and gas companies worldwide. In addition, a number of prominent engineering agencies are making use of our expertise, products and services. Job description

  • Making a basic measure and control design for the treatment system. Here, there will be closely collaborated with other disciplines and participated in various meetings: these include for example: design validation, safety study, control strategy, etc.;
  • Specification of measure and control components. These include for example; field instruments, analysis equipment, control valves, safety valves, junction boxes, cables, etc;
  • Specification of process control and monitoring systems. These include for example: PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS systems (Distributed Control Systems), etc. and the associated network components;
  • Technical support of the project team in purchasing the specified components and systems by the Instrumentation Engineer;
  • Creating a detailed installation design on which the purchased components and systems can be installed in the treatment system. These include for example; wiring diagrams, measuring cable diagrams, cable routing diagrams, etc.;
  • Technical support of the project team during the realization phase of the project. These include for example; board out installation work, support of specific inspection activities, supporting the construction supervisor, support of the final acceptance of the entire treatment system;
  • Finally, in some of the by Frames delivered systems, support is also provided in assembling, installation and/or commissioning of the system at the clients site;

 

The Instrumentation Engineer is technical responsible for the activities mentioned above. The actual installation work, programming of controlling and monitoring systems, configuration and construction of the control panels is outsourced to carefully selected suppliers.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or University education, technical background;
  • At least 5 years relevant experience;
  • Experience in the oil & gas industry;
  • Excellent communicative and social skills;
  • Fluency and English is a must;
  • Knowledge of Dutch and European regulations concerning ATEX/SIL guidelines is a plus
