Our client is the leading provider of application security appliances and firewall solutions. The European engineering team, which has more than 10 years of experience in firewall and encryption technologies, is responsible for development of Networks Firewall products.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer who has strong Linux skills, excellent C/C++ knowledge and excellent understanding of the process of software engineering. You will be working in a team of excellent engineers which is responsible for development of our leading Firewall, IPS and Application Detection engines (known collectively as the “Firewall Core”). We expect candidates to be strong programmers, good problem solvers and expect them to be adaptable to various programming languages/domains.

Senior Linux Developer
Your tasks:
Design and development of Next-Gen Firewall engine
Development of secure and scalable components to build the core of the Firewall product series
Work with Chief Software Architect to support the evolution of the “Firewall Core” architecture
Improve quality and performance of Firewall engine
Work with the Support team to resolve issues with the “Firewall Core”
Your profile:
» 5+ years Software Engineering
» Strong Linux experience
» Strong C/C++ experience
» Technical knowledge in Networking Technology (e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN, Routing)
» English
» Other useful Experience:
- Good knowledge of Firewall and/or Networking
technologies
- Experience with Source Control (SVN, git, etc.)
- Experience of Agile methodologies
