As lead mechanical engineer you coordinate the work of a small team of designers and engineers in projects for shipbuilding/dredging industry.

FUNCTION

  • Steer and control the work of your project team, in order to deliver designs/drawings in line with budget, timing, quality norms, technical specifications and the demands of the client.  
  • Coordination with other lead engineers/technical specialist to guarantee a smooth cooperation with other disciplines.
  • Design and calculations according to the wishes of the clients. Next to supervision you also assist the design team yourself.
  • Order management within budget, specifications and guidelines.

 

 

PROFILE

  • Mechanical engineering degree with several years of relevant experience in shipbuilding/dredging
  • A broad technical knowledge wrt shipbuilding and mechanical installations
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD systems (knowledge of Nupas CADMatic is an asset)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Willing to relocate to Holland (long-term engagement!)
