Night Manager

Overall Job Purpose: 

Responsible for the management of the night shift including the correct set up of meeting rooms, conference and banqueting functions according to weekly function sheets. Transporting of luggage when required, room service requests and any other guest requests. To communicate our services and facilities to guests when required. To ensure the Hotel’s night time security and safety procedures are adhered to.

Main Duties:



*To ensure that the night audit is completed in a timely fashion ensuring all accounts balance

*To check in or check out guests as required throughput the night shift

*To ensure the correct service is given through the night paying particular attention to conference/function business and all public areas. Ensuring complete guest satisfaction at all times.

*To ensure that all necessary steps are taken to safeguard company money, goods and assets.

*To establish a courteous and helpful attitude to all customers by anticipating guests needs.

*To refer all guests comments to your manager.

*To ensure you collect a bleep from reception and check the handover book for any special duties to be carried out on your shift.

*To ensure a complete & clear handover is done with the Duty Manager going off duty and that you prepare a handover for the end of your shift ensuring all check sheets are fully completed for the Early Duty Manager.

*To ensure that all appointed luggage is taken to guests rooms without delay.

*To ensure that the guest is informed of the facilities and the opening times of the restaurant.

*To set up syndicate rooms and functions rooms to the company standard.

*To keep a clean and tidy storeroom and porters lodge.

*To be fully conversant on the folding and storage of bedding when the room is not being used as a bedroom.

Must be able to work full time in Ireland all year round
