Manager on Duty

As Manager on duty, you will work with the entire Management Team to develop and maintain a strong team that can work together to deliver excellent customer service at all times. A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the day to day operations within all departments, including the Restaurant and Bar. Duties and responsibilities for this role will include: • To assist the Operations Mgt & Assistant Operation Mgt in the everyday running of the property as a customer-focused, team-oriented and profit-driven business. • To be responsible for the day to day operation of Dooley's Hotel in the absence of senior managers. • To carry out reasonable requests made by management • To attend financial reviews at the request of the senior management team. • Controls & Analyses departmental costs + take action to control negative deviation • Participated in developing and recognition programmes for staff. • To promote Dooley's Hotel service standards throughout the property, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service at all times. • Leading by example and taking responsibility for day to day operational decisions • Showing awareness of the daily business of the property and communicating details of this business to each department. • The successful candidate must have previous food & beverage experience along with managing and running shifts within the hotel environment. Have excellent communication skills and have the ability to direct the team in their day to day duties. The ideal candidate for this position: • Must have a minimum of three years of previous hotel supervisor or management experience in a management role in the hotel business, preferably in a three or 4-star hotel, is essential. • Previous Food & Beverage experience in a supervisory role is essential. • Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service • Must be standards-driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industry • Leadership skills with the ability to lead a team to continually maintain and improve standards. • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Communicate fluently in English (written & oral). • Proven ability to develop and implement high standards.
