We are looking for Superintendent Engineers (UNIC or PLC/Wois automation systems) to strengthen our Global Field Services E&A team. These are travelling field engineer positions for installation supervision and commissioning of marine and power plant installation equipment. This position includes regular travelling around 150 days per year.

Home office location is Vaasa STH, Finland.



Please note that relocation costs and/or immigration support is not available for this position.



Responsibilities:

  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Wärtsilä sold equipment of latest automation technologies for marine installations
  • Troubleshooting by identifying failures, adjusting, attending (sea) trial runs and testing of installations according to instructions and expected performance requirements
  • Perform installation audits at various land and sea-based installations
  • Prepare Service reports and travel expenses on time and with expected Wärtsilä quality
  • Participate with improvement of new products when performing warranty activities
  • Promote Wärtsilä products and services
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers

     

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Automation Engineering
  • Team player with a positive mind-set and ability to adapt / work independently in a challenging environment
  • Desire to learn new things
  • Good command of English, both oral and written
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Producing internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards
  • Willingness to travel globally

     

Considered as an advantage experience of:

  • PLC’s, SWOIS, WECS, UNIC, systems
  • Diesel, Dual Fuel, Gas engine installation and troubleshooting
  • LNGPac and engine plant automation installation and troubleshooting
  • Wärtsilä IAS experience of installation and troubleshooting
  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
