Your Responsibilities As Senior VAT Officer you will be responsible for a wide range of activities: • Prepare and/or review periodical and annual VAT returns • Manage the periodic VAT obligations • Review work prepared by more junior colleagues • Train and transfer knowledge to more junior colleagues • Assist with VAT registration, VAT de-registration and VAT compliance requirements • Maintain VAT records and follow up on all VAT compliance obligations for a portfolio of companies (securitizations vehicle, PE/RE, Alternative investment, operational entities). • Evaluate and make risk assessment on VAT issues • Communicate new VAT developments to the businesses • Be point of contact with client, VAT Authorities and other providers (tax advisor, foreign tax provider, lawyers, etc.) for VAT related queries. • Present internal VAT trainings and act as point of contact for VAT related query. Your Profile • Have a Bachelor or Master in accounting, law or economics, any specialization or post-qualification in Tax is considered as an asset • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Tax VAT compliance field in a Luxembourg Fiduciary, tax services provider or financial institution • Any management experience is considered as an asset. • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken. Any additional language is considered an advantage. • Are accurate, flexible, hands-on and deliver their best work when facing a tight deadline • Good MS Office skills, especially in Excel and Power Point • Good analytical and organizational skills • Team-player, can do and pro-active attitude
