Your responsibilities: Give day-to-day support for the finishing area which is slitting the production of our Typar spinning asset. The Mechanical Process Engineer will, as a member of the Typar process team, require understanding of the slitting technology, as well as web/roll handling technology with on the job training. This position requires interaction with multiple levels of personnel in the Operations, Maintenance, Technical and Technical Marketing teams. As part of the process team, your job scope includes, but is not limited to: • Improving manufacturing processes by increasing product yield and quality, while reducing product variability. • Specifying, documenting and maintaining technology parameters to ensure the process delivers product at the level of quality required by the final customer. • Developing equipment, technology and control systems to reduce asset downtime. • Ensuring that manufacturing equipment is properly installed, monitored and maintained to operate with maximum efficiency and safety. • Monitoring equipment performance and troubleshooting equipment utilizing root cause failure analysis. • Being the first technical response for incident investigations and operations troubleshooting. • Take ownership for Process safety management. • Field of applications can/will evolve over time. Your qualifications: • Bachelor or master's in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering. • Broad and general interest in technology. • Conceptual & analytical thinking, creativity, global approach to a problem and practical capabilities are equally important for this specific position. • Self-starter and initiative / Interdisciplinary Team-work / Capability to acquire new competencies. • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of fostering a respectful work environment. • German & English needed, Luxemburgish & French are a plus. • Some experience in a similar type of job would be considered as a plus.
