The Opportunity The Application Development Analyst will be a member of Information Technology organization, reporting to an IT team leader. The incumbent works in the Innovation and Prototyping Lab (IPL) as part of the Global Operations & Technology organization in Goodyear. In the lab, the incumbent will work in partnership with the technical and operations teams to develop software which supports the manufacturing hardware and systems. Typical activities could include but are not limited to: adding new software feature functionality, identifying and fixing software flaws, generating unit tests, writing functional tests, performing upgrades, migrating data, applying 3rd party software patches, delivering service requests and providing incident coverage. The incumbent will also provide early life cycle support during upgrades and beta releases on production servers. On this position you will: Development of software systems to support key business functions for R&D, testing systems, engineering and manufacturing platforms. Coordinate, plan and execute software deployments to production, test and development platforms using documented procedures and tests. Monitor production systems for loss of service, addresses performance issues and communicates to users of the software for continuous feedback Work with internal customers to understand and respond to needs. Educate associates on company resources and how they can add value. Monitor, debug and install third party software, systems or databases. Incumbent may be required to do basic configuration or system modifications to those tools. Identify problems due to recurring incidents. Participates with senior level team members in troubleshooting intermediate problems which may span functional areas. To join our team You will need: Your Education: Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related domain. Your Languages: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must. French is a strong asset Your Experience: 1-3 years of relevant technical or business experience Experience in application development and troubleshooting skills Your Skills: Ability to understand the business needs and deliver service; works to anticipate, Identify and meet end-user needs, Drives results and ensures high-quality standards are met, Conveys complex and technical issues to diverse audiences in a manner that is easily understood, authoritative, and actionable for the business, Actively listens; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Acts decisively and swiftly; takes on accountability for outcomes, Builds support and trust, Identifies software design patterns and root causes of application failures
