System Architect (m/f)

Job role

We are expanding our team and are looking for a System Architect who will be involved in the development and maintenance of medical devices for particle therapy. Within this role, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of particle therapy and learn to transform market requirements into a final product. Even if you don’t have experience in system architecture, but have a solid track record in software architecture and are keen on broadening your field of work, this might be a position for you.

Main responsibilities

• Analysis and concretization of market and user requirements.
• Defining the architecture of medical systems based on requirements.
• Participating in medical risk management.
• Contributing to software and hardware design.
• Participating in system verification & validation.
• Work breakdown preparation, a delegation of tasks to other team members.

Required skills and experience

• Experience in system or software architecture.
• Familiarity with different software technologies.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or another related technical field.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Enjoy working in a team with other developers.

If you checked the above listed bullet-points, you will learn other relevant stuff as we go: hardware platforms, particle therapy, safety standards, working on medical projects.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience in C++ or other high-level programming language.
• Experience with FPGA development.
• Experience with embedded computing platforms.
• Familiar with standards relevant to medical device development (e.g. IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, ISO 14971).
