On behalf of WS Audiology A/S, we are looking for a developer with frontend focus for their full-stack team.

 

The department's primary responsibility is to develop a Windows application that is used to adapt a hearing aid to a specific person's hearing loss. This customization and fine tuning are typically performed by an audiologist or adjuster who is therefore the primary user of the product.

 

WS Audiology’s software developers are divided into several teams, each with professional expertise. As a software developer, you are part of multidisciplinary project groups. The Fitting Software development at present consists of 50+people – who works with the part of the software that communicates with the hearing aids, configuration of device parameters and the business logic offered to the adaptor. As a developer in the Software team, you get close cooperation with other teams in WS Audiology.

 

The Role

You are expected to work on a new high-profile project with a significant impact on WS Audiology’s products. It involves a great deal of knowledge of Hearing Aid and programming devices. The team works in an Agile environment, so the role requires SAFe construction knowledge, mob programming as a preferred way of working, as well as attending the SCRUM ceremonies as a team member.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Design, development and testing of new features
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Participate as a team member in fully agile Scrum deliveries
  • Help facilitate technological and architectural discussions and ensure that the needed decisions are being made.
  • Ensure lifecycle perspective is applied and that the software is built in a scalable manner.

Requirements

WS Audiology expect you to be an expert within your field - you are perceived as a full stack developer, but you have a natural interest in the frontend. You have a keen eye for quality and doing things right the first time. You have experience working in a mob setup and you can share your knowledge in a both a proactive and pragmatic manner. You thrive in high profile projects where you can make a difference.

 

Experience

  • In depth-experience in front-end development, web development stack (VUE, Angular, React or another)
  • Experience with frontend testing (Unit/End2End tests - experience with BDD based on cucumber is a plus)
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft technology stack (ASP.Net Core, C#, Azure)
  • Working knowledge with microservices and Event Driven Architecture
  • Experience working with Scrum, preferred experience in working in environment with scaled agile methodologies (LESS, SAFe).

  • Good communication skills, transparent way of working in-sync with team and product goals
  • Agile mindset and value oriented (balance between customer focus and technical architecture)
  • Team player: sharing knowledge with other developers in team or other teams & Enjoys pair/mob programming
  • Feels responsible for the whole product with customer focus
  • Willingness and desire to create and address proposals on how to improve the architecture and solution
