Wärtsilä Marine Power, Power Supply is looking for a Strategic Purchaser. Strategic Purchaser leads and manages in own area of responsibility supply management activities according to category action plan. In this position you act in a key role in supplier interface. The position is permanent and its location is Vaasa, Finland.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Quality, Delivery, Lead Time and Cost development of materials and services for own area of responsibility
- Managing and developing supplier base, performance, relationships and negotiations
- Creating and updating supplier agreements
- Supporting supplier and product validation process
- Securing long term capacity and forecasting
- Analysing future supply demand
- Gathering and analysing spend and supplier data, executing benchmarking and providing data to the relevant functions
- Securing compliance to Supply Management processes/procedures, strategies and agreements
We hope you have:
- MSc or BSc in Economics or Engineering
- Proven track record in sourcing
- International supply chain knowledge
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Good communication and team working skills
- Strong personal drive, used to taking own initiatives and being proactive
- Experience in Purchasing & Sourcing related modules in SAP is seen as benefit
- Knowledge of engine automation & controls is seen as an advantage
- Willingness to travel
