We are experiencing strong growth in Chr. Hansen and for our Global Legal department in Hørsholm, we are now looking for an additional lawyer/legal counsel with experience in M&A to join our M&A Legal team in supporting our Corporate Strategy & Business Development department.  

 

The team for you to join

You will join Global Legal Affairs which is part of the broader Compliance & Corporate Affairs function, including Global Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, IPR & Licensing, Corporate Affairs and the Corporate Secretariat. In total Compliance & Corporate Affairs counts 130 employees world-wide.

Global Legal Affairs supports the entire Chr. Hansen organization across the world with all major legal matters. In addition, Global Legal Affairs drives various compliance programs across the global organization. What would your role look like? 

Your primary responsibility will be to act as a legal business partner to our Corporate Strategy and Business Development department together with our Head of M&A Legal, acting as a sparring partner to the business and a mediator between the Corporate Strategy and Business Development team and external as well as internal stakeholders. You can look forward to a very dynamic role. 

Some of the tasks in the role will be to;

  • Drive and advise on legal matters in transactions as well as legal support to other strategic projects initiated by Corporate Strategy & Business Development 
  • Engage and manage outside legal counsel for such projects
  • Prepare and support with summarising DD reports and contractual terms to our CLT management 
  • Follow up and support in post-closing integration and disintegration work 
  • Ensure close cooperation and communication with other CH functions
  • Provide guidance and training to the organization with respect to M&A legal topics 

In this role you will be interacting across the broad Chr. Hansen organization, cooperating with internal and external stakeholders globally. You will be based at the Danish headquarters in Hørsholm, Greater Copenhagen and report to the Head of M&A Legal. 



Who are we looking for?

You hold a Master Degree in Law and you have at least 5 years of multi-disciplinary law experience as an external lawyer or in-house legal counsel. This is backed by experience in working with M&A. Experience in working with IP is considered a plus.

As part of a high paced growth environment you will need a solid professional foundation as well as strong business acumen. Furthermore, you must thrive in a dynamic setup and you need to be energetic, highly autonomous and passionate about working interdisciplinary with law and with many different stakeholders – internal and external. This also requires excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.

We offer you a full time role that during M&A and Special Projects may vary in working hours. Travelling should be expected 10-15 travelling days per year in average.
