QuadSAT is looking for a Robotics Engineer to join our team of skilled tech enthusiasts building the next generation UAV antenna performance evaluation systems. You will be a part of a young and international team working in a fast and agile product development environment. The job

QuadSAT is looking for a mechanical or mechatronics engineer with experience in both mechanical design, knowledge on electrical design and practical skills required to build prototypes and products such as assembly, wiring, soldering, microcontroller, and instrumentation knowledge. Ideally, you have worked with gimbals or similar robotics systems before and are familiar with the mechanical, electrical, and control aspects of such a system.

You will be part of multiple aspects of product development and optimisation of QuadSAT’s UAV payload system including:

  • Robot Architecture design and implementation
  • Control strategies research and implementation
  • Control systems for accurate pointing of UASs
  • Embedded software
  • Multi-sensor communication strategy
  • Sensor data analysis

QuadSAT is a very international company with customers all over the world. It is expected to have 20-30 days of travel per year in this position.

Your personality is important to us

As a person, you are driven by curiosity to create and develop new solutions for complex robotics problems. Ideally, you have a few years of experience from a similar position, or you are maybe a skilled graduate with a personal passion for drone technology. You are aware of the details in the solution as well as the big picture and you work in a structured independent manner. A start-up environment can be demanding with occasional short deadlines, so you are able to cope with agile and fast-moving product development.

To succeed with your application, you must have:

  • 2 years of professional experience related to product development and/or optimisation
  • Relevant technical education (Bachelor or Masters in either Robotics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or similar)
  • Excellent English language proficiency
  • A clean criminal record for access the HCA Airport

In this position it is an advantage to have:

  • Experience with Robot development frameworks, e.g. ROS
  • Experience in Python, C++
  • Experience with RF
  • Experience and/or knowledge about drone technology
  • Experience and/or knowledge within stability control
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience with NVIDIA, single board computers and microcontrollers

About QuadSAT

QuadSAT is a start-up company founded in 2017 and is now located at the UAS test facility site on HCA Airport in Odense. QuadSAT develops UAS payload systems and testing techniques to challenge current expensive test range alternatives for SATCOM antenna manufacturers, satellite operators and service providers. QuadSAT currently has 15 employees most of whom are internationals.
