We are cloud native and we work primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We evangelise the opportunity to apply data and advanced analytics, initiating analytical initiatives and supporting data science users of our platform. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake and data science platform on AWS to support our vision; which is to be able to deliver world class management of data. All kinds of data. The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations and create true value to Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve.

We are currently 31 internal and external employees in 3 different locations in India, USA and Denmark. We are significantly growing and we have almost doubled the amount of people in the team within the past 11 months.

The position

You will team up with your colleagues, working with the agile principles and focus on solutions that can be deployed to our production environment. Together with the team you will develop and maintain our catalogue of solutions embedded on AWS. We develop from a principle of serverless first and if services such as EventBridge, Lambda, DynamoDB and Kinesis rings a bell with you, then you might be the right person for the job.

As our new AWS Developer, you will work on developing end-to-end cloud solutions that  enable cutting-edge technologies to be utilized across the enterprise. You will collaborate with DM&A Operations in India to whom you will hand over your work for operations and maintenance post go-live.

To succeed in this job, you are expected to understand the technologies involved in the components that makes up the data lake, data science, ML and AI solutions, and you know how these are integrated. If your coding skills are sharp enough but you have not played with AWS before we will bring you up to speed.

Qualifications

You have a master’s degree in relevant field and hands-on experience working with software development, contemporary cloud technologies, including data lake and advanced analytics as well as the integration of these. You are very pleasant to be around and will fit well in to the team where it is important to have fun and where we work in a relaxed informal and flexible atmosphere.

Perhaps you have a background within software development or software engineering and are proficient in python and/or javascript. In this job you can influence how we work including coding language, testing and documentation standards.

You have a ‘can do’ mind-set required to try out new setups and solutions. You are known for your ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion and communicate these in a simple way. Fluency in English (Oral and written) is a prerequisite.
