As a Senior Incident Response Coordinator, you will exercise strong prioritization and time management skills to coordinate response efforts related to incidents and vulnerability remediation. Additionally, you will be responsible for partnering with the owners of various operational metrics to drive improvement in the program’s maturity and overall security readiness. You should have a strong comprehension of incident response plans and coordination of activities with strong verbal and written communication skills and a sense of diplomacy to handle the fast-paced world of cybersecurity.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate response efforts to cyber incidents caused by external threats that may involve non-traditional working hours.
  • Support various 3rd parties and coordinate response efforts for incidents involving Thermo Fisher products, data or employees.
  • Drive integration with other corporate incident management programs to ensure consistency and alignment with peer support teams within IT.
  • Create ready-to-go draft communications and ensure timely reports/updates to leadership during and after an incident.
  • Partner with leadership to develop KPIs and meaningful metrics across the CIS organization.
  • Use strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement across the organization.

Who are we looking for?

  • Clear command of the English language.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Assurance, Security, Management Information Systems, Risk Management or equivalent work experience acceptable.
  • Experience and competency with Incident Management Programs/Solutions.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience applying a risk-based approach to information security and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Power BI experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
