Finance & Accounting Controller

Main tasks and Responsibilities

·         Ensure accounting and financial statements are accurate and comply with necessary requirements

·         Analyze P/L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements and summarize key conclusions

·         Main point of contact with external auditors, including full preparation before the annual audit

·         Provide accurate reporting and financial information as requested by business partners  

·         Use and create various business reports to improve visibility to business trends;  pull data from ERP systems

·         Analyze actual performance vs budget/forecast and provide detailed bridges with explanation for gaps

·         Establish, enforce, and document clear accounting policies and procedures  

·          Work on cost accounting, standard costing, and various other accounting initiatives as required

·         Own internal controls and lead putting correction action in place for any concerns

Skills and abilities:

·         Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and be reliable in delivering work against deadlines 

·         Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with business partners across multiple functions

·         Strong communication skills – both in writing and verbal

·         Ability to pull data, analyze, and summarize key conclusions

·         Strong knowledge of basic and technical accounting 

·         Good math skills, analytical and critical thinking, ability to spot numerical errors

Profile:

·         Degree and work experience in Accounting, CPA or Chartered Certified Accountant 

·         Controller or relevant experience of 3+ years

·         Experience with IFRS and USA GAAP is a plus

·         Hands-on experience with Fourth Shift or other accounting software is a plus   

·         Must speak English, German and French is a plus
