Wärtsilä Performance Services Marine is now looking for a Maintenance Planner to join the Expertise Centre in Vaasa, Finland. We offer you interesting and challenging tasks in the growing marine agreement business. You will join a multicultural environment where you will gain in depth knowledge of maintenance management and Wärtsilä service contract delivery.



The successful candidate will be based in Vaasa, Finland. Whilst we embrace working in a virtual environment, we hope you will be available to travel when business requires.

What will you be doing?



The Maintenance Planner works for global execution of marine agreements and is the key person together with the Contract Manager.



As a Maintenance Planner your work will focus on:

  • Preparing maintenance plan for each contract in the assigned area of responsibility
  • Planning and coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and overhauls
  • Planning the resources and competences for execution of field work
  • Building and maintaining good communication with Contract Managers and customers, external providers and other stakeholders in the Wärtsilä organization
  • Follow up executed and postponed maintenance tasks and improvements
  • Preparing and monitoring maintenance budget for the annual contract budgeting on behalf of the customer
  • Assisting in the development of our tools
  • Swing-set planning

     

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical / Productional Engineering, or qualified by equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with marine diesel engines
  • Demonstrable knowledge about Operations & Maintenance
  • Maintenance Management knowhow
  • Contract business understanding
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of engine functionality
  • Structured approach to work, planning and managing tasks effectively
  • Proactive and focused with a can-do attitude
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
  • Competent using a variety of IT systems and software
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal

     

You will have an advantage with:

  • Advanced knowledge of Marine engine operations and maintenance
  • Marine field service experience
  • Maximo knowledge
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Russian language skills
