The labour market in North of Sweden is experiencing a strong growth. Investments of more than SEK 700 billion are planned with high demand for labour as a result. At the same time, the two most northern counties have the lowest unemployment in Sweden. This trend continues as demand from companies and public services remains strong.

LKAB (Luossavaara-Kiirunavaara AB) – Mining company in Gällivare and Kiruna

A mining and minerals group that offers sustainable iron ore, minerals and special products. They are one of Sweden's oldest industrial companies and are wholly owned by the Swedish state. Since 1890 they have developed through unique innovations and technological solutions and are driven forward by more than 4,500 employees in 12 countries.

Kaunis Iron - Mining company in Pajala

Kaunis Iron is a new and modern mining company in Pajala, Swedish Lapland. Pajala Municipality - Pajala kommun

In connection to the mine Kaunis Iron Pajala kommun/Pajala Municipality has a housing project, Hej hemby, in order to help you find housing if you would like to move to or/and would find employment in the area.

As a municipality Pajala Municipality also have vacancies. They can offer a wide selection of open positions in their organisation, regardless if you are a health care worker, electrician or a teacher they might have something for you. At least one scandinavian language both written and spoken is mandatory.

Luleå University of Technology

Luleå University of Technology is experiencing strong growth with world-leading competence in several areas of research. Their research is conducted in close collaboration with industries such as Bosch, Ericsson, Scania, LKAB, SKF and leading international universities.
